Torque Steer=Haldex Problems ?

Torque Steer=Haldex Problems ?
It' been a while since I've been on the Forums, so greetings to all participants of TT East 2008 !
I have been noticing more FWD torque steer and traction loss on my '04 Mk I 3.2, e.g., no power seems to be going to the rear wheels when slowly going up a steep hill. I suppose its possible , but I really don't think its related to the fact that I have left my summer tires (Dunlop Maxx TT's) on for the winter--I have not taken the car out in temps lower than approx 45F. The fuse for the Haldex is ok, and no warning lights are lit on the dash. Would a diagnostic scan of the Haldex/Rear diff be helpful at this point ?
