Default Trunk dimensions?

Would it be possible for someone to measure the length and width of the trunk space (minimum dimensions with rear seats upright)? I have a couple of high end bags I purchased awhile back that fit perfectly side by side in my '01 A6 but don't fit in my '09 A4. I'm hoping they would fit once again in the C7.

Thanks in advance!

According to the German Audi Website, the interior dimensions of the A6 trunk are 1050mm (current A4 1000mm) wide and 1176mm (current A4 1067mm) deep. The trunk opening is actually a little less wide than the interior width at 949 mm on the 2012 A6. Can't find anything about the interior height. They say 530 liters (current A4 480 liters) of volume, the US website says Luggage Capacity (EPA) 14.1 cu. ft. (current A4 = 12.4 cu. ft.).

It looks like you get about 2 inches extra width and 4 inches extra depth in the A6 vs the current model A4.

I hope that helps. Personally, I'd take the luggage to the dealer and try fitting it if it's that important to you, I know my local dealer would have no problem with that at all ...

Can't validate whether your particular bags will fit but I can say the boot is huge - if something rolls to the back I have to practically climb in to get it (putting a knee in the boot so I can reach all the way back!!)

I am so jealous. A8 trunk is tiny. It's even smaller than my son's Acura TSX (European Accord).

Wow, that's surprising. Always thought Audi has the biggest trunk in all the premium cars. Love the A8 though. Great looking car with awesome features

Not sure if you're correct on the TSX comparison (Honda Germany claims 467 Liters for the German Accord), but the A8 trunk is indeed smaller than the A6, the A8 and A8L are actually identical when it comes to trunk size (both at 510 Liters vs. 530 Liters for the A6):
