Splash Guards / Mud Flaps?

Splash Guards / Mud Flaps?
Is anyone else considering splash guards aka mud flaps or is that unthinkable considering the elegant design and style of the C7? In prepping our C5 for sale I've been reminded yet again how much crud and tar accumulates on the bottom of the front doors and on the bumper cover behind the rear wheels, to say nothing of what can happen if that stuff gets picked up on a wash mitt and transferred to the paint (where it can cause scratches and swirls).

I ordered both front and back from the dealer when I took delivery of my Prestige. When they went to install them they found out that the splash guards would not fit. After re-ordering (dealer told me they ordered incorrectly the first time) the newe flaps still would not fit. Parts guy told me that after their inquiry Audi told said the current splash guards listed in the latest accessory catalog would not fit the Prestige model. Dealer refunded my $$$. I haven't pursued it further since this happened back in November 2011.
