Nice Accessory for Opening/Closing your trunk without touching the paint
It comes from our cross-town rivals at Mercedes Benz:

I got this for my US-Spec BMW E46 328Ci, and now I use it on my A6. Best thing about it is that you don't have to worry about leaving fingerprints on your paint anymore.
The pic on the link doesn't show how you mount it, but it uses the bottom 2 screws of the license plate.
I will post pics of it on my A6 shortly.
I forget how much it was, but I will find out and post it here.
EDIT: Here are the Pics. If you look at the pics of it installed, you will see that the bottom of it lines up with the bottom of the license plate bracket, so it fits perfectly.

just dropped off my A6 at the dealer this morning, when I get it back I will post more pics from further away.

Yes, but I have seen some posts in other threads talk about actually pushing it closed for the final few inches and not liking having to touch the paint on the top of the trunk, leaving fingerprints. So I thought I'd post my solution.

It's not a bad idea. You could make one from a piece of aluminum "L" stock from the hobby shop.
Add some rings or emblem to personalize it.
