Blown turbo, need some tech resources.
So, I lost a turbo on my '01 Allroad 2.7T, and am needing some help gathering resources on this car. I know the engine needs to be removed, and I have plenty of experience working with cars, but this is a new engine for me and I'm not quite sure where all the goodies are on it. Does anyone have a good tech manual or tech guide for removing the turbos that they'd be willing to share? Thanks in advance for the help.
By the way, it sounds almost exactly like this one:

You NEED to buy the Bentley manual and read it. i would also recommend searching the forum for several threads relating to the topic. It has been covered on audi world and other websites as well.
Dont let the fact that this is an audi scare you, a motor is a motor is a motor, they are work more or less the same way. Just be sure to take your time, dont force anything/strip anything, and take note of everything you take off.
I personally would recommend taking off the front clip and removing the engine by pulling it forward. some have taken the heads off. DO NOT DO THAT i seriously feel like the work and chance for damage is greater this way. i also have seen the fender removed, again i dont reccommend it.
Remove the front clip. unhook the down pipe, transmission, all pipes, hoses and connectors, and the motor mounts and you should be able to lift and pull forward
Is there a specific book I should buy? Do you have a link?
Get the ebahn CD.
Bentley has no apologies for the data on their CD/Ebahn..they claim it's whatever Audi gives them.
