Default Replacing Timing Belt Question

I am in the process of replacing my timing belt and so far so good if not being a little time consuming. I've got the front end mostly removed however there is one hose that I want to make sure I remove correctly. It is attached to the radiator, I have attached a picture. Where it attaches to the radiator seems to be pretty damn stuck and I'm unsure of how much pressure to apply here or if it would be more easily/properly removed somewhere else.

Thank you for any assistance on this.

Upper rad hose? They are a bitch to get off.

Take the clip all the way off to make sure it isn't in the way, then just wiggle and pull. Eventually it will pop off.

What car/engine is this?

My V8s have a real hose, not a pipe, to the radiator. The hose is attached to a coupling with an O-ring in it that actually does the seal to the upper radiator nipple. The coupling has a wire bail, a U-shaped thick wire, that is pulled/pried out to a detent/stop so that the coupling can be, umm, uncoupled.

Looks like an auto trans fluid line on a 2.7

The problem is I don't recognize his PIPE as an upper radiator hose. OK, it's an ATF pipe. I'd try to leave it alone...opening it up will just dump a lot of ATF and then you'll have to reset the trans fluid level; never a fun thing to do.

Yeah...but it's at the top of the radiator? Or is this an upside pic....and that's a pretty big line for trans fluid.

The pipe in the OP's picture is the transmission ATF line going into the cooler in the radiator. I would leave it alone if you can. They can be stubborn to get out. You should have enough room sliding the front radiator support out some and leaving the line connected.

This is for the 03 A6 2.7t the picture was taken while standing near the passenger door, It's right side up, the the rubber portion of the hose runs from the driver side along the radiator bottom, and attaches to that metal tubing that runs up the passenger side of the radiator. I can't find a reference to this line anywhere.
