Instrument Cluster Face De-facement...
1st post, new member, I'll post in the new members section eventually and throw a little out about me, vehicle, etc.
Short version though, I'm 36, been working on vehicles since I was 14, this is my 1st Audi. It's an '02 A6 2.7T/Quattro. I helped a friend by purchasing it as it was pretty much a visual & mechanical disaster, so now I'm putting it back together. I've got a decent amount of experience with bodywork, diagnostics, repair, etc, but definitely learning as I go on the foreign scene.
So keeping that background brief, what I'm doing on the interior is replacing all of the wood trim with 3M di-noc carbon fiber vinyl, which is complete and I'll post up photos once I'm allowed to, but I'm now looking to separate the plastic front face of the instrument gauge cluster from the black plastic surround. I've pulled the gauge cluster (obviously) and separated the front face from the gauges.
So my question is: Are the front (clear) plastic piece & black plastic gauge pod (with the trim rings) glued together or is there a trick I'm missing? I've been stoked to date with how a lot of the interior pieces have been attached to allow easy removal so I'm checking to see if maybe this is the same situation and I'm just missing something. There *almost* appears to be tabs on the right & left side of the clear front face where it meets the black gauge housing, but I've traced all around the area with a flat-head screwdriver, putty knife, exacto, etc.
If you guys tell me it's glued that's cool; I'll just separate and re-glue anyway, lol, but I'd love to hear that there's a better/cleaner way to do it.
Thanks in advance!

In any event, it's glued, lol, or rather, it WAS glued-

Thanks,
