Default Excessive rear tire wear

I have a 01 that I bought about a year and half ago. I replaced the tires and have about 10k on them now. When I replaced them it was due to inside edge wear, now I have the same issue. The car is on factory springs so its not lowered. Is it unusual to have this kind of wear? I know there is some negative camber built in but this seems a bit odd. Just had some new wheels put on and was told that my rear shocks need replacing. Could this be the cause of the excess wear, or should I consider getting a rear camber kit as well? Thanks for any input.

You don't say what model TT you have. You really should do 4 wheel alignment when you replace the tires.

The OEM shocks on the rear of the TT are not great, I just replaced the suspension on my 2001 Quattro at 90K . The fronts were still OK but the rears were completely worn out.

It's pretty easy to replace them on a Quattro maybe just slightly harder on a FWD. If you live in a place they use road salt, check for cracked / broken rear springs because that is very common. I sold my rear springs to someone on the east coast who had that problem.

Adjustable arms would be a last resort on a stock height vehicle, it shouldn't be necessary if everything else is in spec.

Thanks for the response. Sorry for the lack of info, its a Quattro coupe. I'm planning on replacing the shocks, I just didn't know if that would increase the amount of negative camber and if so if something like the KMAC camber kit would help or if those are used mainly post lowering. I live in Louisiana so salting the roads is not a problem. I checked the springs and they seem intact. Just trying to fix this problem as efficiently as possible so not to run through another set of tires.
