I'm considering placing a factory order for the following. Any thoughts? Am I missing anything major? Not interested in any of the driver assist/cruise control options, and only getting side assist for the power mirrors. Also, can somebody confirm that Audi Drive Select is a standard feature on these cars, accessed through MMI? I'm coming from the S4 where you needed to get certain options to be able to access the drive select.

I got the Dakota on a US build. One thing I would get that I didn't would be the rear window shade. I had one in my Merc and I really miss that.

 

Yes the drive select is standard, no need to order it optionally.

 

While the Audi Drive Select is standard, be aware that with ADS, the 2012 A6 does not include any dynamic suspension control in the U.S. model, unlike other Audis i.e. the A4/S4 option. Unfortunately, only steering, throttle and shift response control is provided with the ADS.

 

Thanks. The lack of dynamic suspension doesn't bother me too much, but lack of the sport diff the EU can buy is really unfortunate.

 

Dakota and Daytona are two completely different colors.

In Europe you can get the power mirrors without the side assist, maybe not in the US?

 

Yup, in the US, you only get it with Side Assist.
