Default Not sure something is wrong

Perhaps you can feel it better than we can see it. When it comes to idle, I would look at your fuel trims. If you have VAGCOM, look into block 32 of your engine. If your idle fuel trims are +2% or more, then you have vac leak, which will also mean you have a boost leak. So your multiplicative trims will be in the negative. Lots of places these can happen, the worst being your brake booster hose, when it eventually gives, you will have super stiff brakes, yikes.

Other places to look: Spark plugs and ignition coils, how are yours? If they are old/bad, you can upgrade to the MK5 coil packs, Integrated engineering sells adapters.

The MAF sometimes acts funny, if you unplug it and the car runs better, then you've got a bad MAF. What year is your car? What engine?

Yet more things:
-Try a throttle body reset
-Your CTS, is it a black or green top?
-Any faults with VAG COM?
-Is your alternator in good shape? How about the battery?

Do a search with uncle Google for "TTweaker’s Guide v0.6". Try to detect your car's general health. Once that is set, they need less and less maintenance.

Good luck.

Replace the two small vacuum lines that come from under the left side bottom of the intake manifold. Also the one with the cloth wrap on it going from under the plate right in front of the intake manifold.

They get soft spots in them from age and heat that you can't see and can collapse and pinch off momentarily under high vacuum at idle.

When you take them out you can see the soft spots in them which will kink easily by rolling them into a circle.
