Finally Arrived / ?s about Tomorrow's Pick Up
#1 Is the New Owner Appreciation Program still available?
#2 How long do you anticipate the transaction taking?
#3 Should I get a walk through of all systems?
#4 There was mention of a cargo net or golf bag holder or something in this thread. Is this something I should ask for?
#5 Can the dealer try to increase the price from the pre-negotiated price I received in 2011 to 2012 pricing?
#6 For some of your newer owners, should I negotiate an extended warranty?
#7 What is the extended warranty all about?
#8 Whatever else you can think of....
Have to get back to work now. Thanks All
I picked mine up last weekend.
1. No comment
2. Took about 30 mins
3. Walk through took apx 1.5 hrs. . . . lots of stuff to get through. .depends on how much you like to figure things out on your own. . .from my perspective, I would let them program your garage, phone and t-mobile
4. No comment
5. Depends on financing and buy or lease
6. Depends on how long you want to own it and sleep at night. . . remember someone is selling you something. . remember that insurers typically write policies that they make money on. . . can go either way here
7. Several levels of extended warranty that you can ask finance manager about.
8. ENJOY IT! What colors and package?

about having them program the garage, I'm assuming I'd just need to bring my garage remote with me, correct?

2) a couple hours
3) Yes
4) It was a Ski Bag, I created a forum post on it (my sales guy ended up giving it to me)
https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho....php?t=2820788
5) They can try, but they would be stupid to. I doubt they would risk a confirmed sale for something like that. Now as for you....I negotiated the initial price, put down my deposit, then kept negotiating the price down. My family's rule is that you negotiate up until you sign the contract. I got some additional money off
6/7) didn't even think about it
8) Bring a friend or family member. It's always good to have a sane mind around.
I got the a couple of extras:
- AudiCare
- XZilon vehicle protection(your dealer may have something different) this is now coming handy as I have water spots that won't come out, which is covered :P
- Wheel Locks
- Lojack (a good addition in Southern California)
Also: There was one thing on my paperwork that I declined, cause it was just stupid: a $30 DMV electronic filing fee. The reason they gave on it was so that they could keep you updated on the status of your vehicle registration. Obviously pointless because there is no way the good ol' government will miss a chance to get you a nice identifier to put on those tickets they want to give you.
Congrats and Welcome to the family!
