Overzealous in Freeing Stuck Fuel Fill Door and Detached Emergency Rip Cord
Has anyone pulled the Emergency Pull Cord to open the Fuel Fill Door and detach the cord and pin assembly from whatever is behind the Bose subwoofer? How large of a job is it to remove the components to gain access to the fuel door mechanisom and reattach the rip cord assembly? Any advise or tips would be greatly appreciated. 2002 A6 2.7T (C5)

You might STFA for removal of the Bose subwoofer...at least one guy on TOF or this one has done it. IIRC he posted some pics of the vacated space which might give you an idea of what's behind the sub as well as what it took to remove the sub. I don't think removing the sub is a big deal.
