Question about a window, and its not the guides...
So my passenger window drivers side only rolls up and down when the door is open... What could the explanation possibly be? switch bad?
when i lock the car with that door open, it doesnt honk until the door closes so id say the switch isnt bad.... i dont know..

Most likely a partially open wire. When the door is open the wire/circuit makes contact. Get into the wiring harness at the door and find the stretched wire. Or you can wait until the problem goes full time and then find the open circuit with a DVOM.
Frankly, I'd probably wait until it goes solid failure...much easier to trace. Who really cares about the passenger side window anyways.

I would second the broken connection in the wire. Pull the rubber boot off a bit, check the wires.
I had all sorts of mayhem when the rear left door wiring started breaking apart inside the boot.
Beats me why that door failed and not the driver's.

Is there a write up on this? Or should i just trace from where the wires are coming out of the frame and trace into door?
Literally looking for failed wire jacket and insulation right? exposed wire?
