Rough ride. What could it be?
Btw I did the arms over 60k miles ago. But never the struts.
You need to determine if you're crashing your suspension stops or the ride is just really stiff.
However, it really doesn't matter...if you've got over 100K on the car replace the shocks either with Koni Sports (a little stiff but great handling with stock springs, better with sport springs) or Bilstein or OEM.
PS: How much air pressure are you running in your tires? Did you just put 22" wheels and tires on the car?
The audi has strong enough springs that pushing on the bumper is tough to get movement. But if you get a LOT of movement the shocks are likely gone.
I figured after 155K, it was about time I replace them. So here's the question now...what do I replace them with. I doubt I will keep the car longer than another 50K miles or so, and am not looking for a more sporty ride, just something as close to stock as possible.
I should also mention that I'm looking at keeping costs down on this and can do most of the job myself, so what would you all recommend for shocks?
Has anyone tried the Blauparts kit and found it to be good? http://www.blauparts.com/proddetail....od=MGR1016%2DA
Thanks
