Abs unit
Hi
I'm hoping someone can help me here. I have a 1.8, 225bhp year 2000 Audi tt. I had all three warning lights come on the dash board which after searching the net I found meant it was my abs that was the problem. I have had the electronic unit tested and it is beyond repair. Having looked around it appears that Audi changed their parts and part numbers in 2002, therefore it is proving difficult to locate a pump or electronic module with the old part numbers on it. The part number on the pump is 8no 614 517 c and the newer ones all end in the letter d.
Can anyone help or inform me of where to get an older part numbered unit?

It should replace the old part. The part is interchangeable. VW audi does this alot, just changes the part number as production changes are made. Probably saw the originals are junk and modified them in some way to be more reliable. So they change the last number so they know this. Almost every vw part number you look up has been superceded in some way to a slightly different number. i bet you if you call the dealer, give them the part number is the 'C' they will send you the one with the 'D'
