Checking fuel delivery system 2001 TT 6-speed
The car wouldn't start. There are no codes. To check for fuel delivery I pulled the module off at the end of the fuel rail (right side looking into engine). One question would be, do I expect fuel to flood out at this point when I turn the car over? There was no fuel. Assuming there should be, I checked power at the fuel pump fuse. Without diagrams, I assume that when I crank the engine I should see power here if the relay is working. Does this logic sound correct? There was power so I assume power to the relay coil and to the pump.
I'd like to check the connector to the pump before I assume the pump is bad. Does anyone have an idea if that connector is accessible through the trunk?
The car died too easily in my opinion. I pulled it out of the garage, washed it, pulled it in dried it. Then when I went to start it up an hour later, it wouldnt start. This is why I'd like to follow the electrical path first.
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
