Fuel Pump Power..? is this correct..
Hey all,
So I had a problem with my 2001 225bhp TT over the weekend, pulled out of a garage onto motorway and juddered and then I noticed a lack of power.. Managed to get it home but then wouldn't start, managed to get it going after a bit of hitting the fuel tank/filter.. but this could of just been coincidence. anyway it wasn't running correctly, bogging down, jumpy. Now it won't start again.
When i turn on the ignition I can't hear the fuel pump prime anymore so Im guessing either that or the relay has gone.
I have pulled up the back seat and tested the fuel pump connection with a multimeter, 3 of the prongs read 0 the other (red/blue wire) read 1.76v same with the ignition on or off
Is this correct? Seems like some power is getting to it, or should it read 12v? in which case not enough power is getting to it.
