Windows won't close all the way

I have a 2001 TT Quatro Roadster with 104K miles on it. Recently when I close the roof, the electric windows will not complete the seal as they should and remain about an inch open. The dashboard sensor shows that the car thinks that the roof is not closed, even when it is; I have a feeling this is why the windows won't go up. Is there any way to reset/reboot this function?

I have the same issue. After raising the top up, I have to turn the car off & on again. The windows should go up after this.

There are a couple of micro switches at the latch points under the sun visors that can cause the issue you are describing. We have these switches in stock for $85.56 .
