wont idle
Hey peoples, my 2001 audi tt won't idle right. I'm wondering if anybody has ideas on what it could be. It idles between 1500 and 2500 revs when the clutch is in and when I'm shifting gears it stays at my shift point and then slowly goes down and the revs between 1500 and 2500 revs. The rev speed goes up and down in between that range. I don't know if its a vacuum leak or a tps sensor, or a pcv valve. If anyone has ideas on what it could be please let me know

You could try cleaning the MAF. I've cleaned mine and it is a simple thing to do. The only trick is the MAF is held by two security 5 star screws. I used a flat screwdriver on mine, but will plan on getting a special socket next time.
