O2 sensor removal
I am replacing my heated o2 sensors and I can only get the right, passenger side one out. I cant get my socket to fit onto the driver's side sensor, theres a water pipe in the way. Does it need to be removed from underneath? its a '95 90q. I would like to replace both together. thanks for the help

I have a long extension and o2 socket tool, thats how i got the pass side one out easy as pie, but there is a pipe in the way on the drivers side. the o2 socket is too thick to get between that and the sensor, i tried a deep well 22mm socket, it fits but its not deep enough. I havent had a chance to look again, but Ill try removing the wheel and going at it from the side with a open 22mm wrench, but is that really possible? if not ill have to get a deeper well socket, but getting the new one in with the wires attached might be another challenge.

OK so i got the front end off the ground, theres a small hole where i can fit a wrench in and onto the sensor through the wheel well but there is not enough room to break it free. I am at a loss here, guess ill go out searching for a super deep well 22mm socket.

update:
Got them in and everything's gravy. Had to remove the wheel, went and got a long arm 22mm wrench. soaked it in pb blaster for a good 3 hours, and finally got it out. replaced them both. week by week im getting this thing back into shape. thanks for the help.
