1990 Quattro 90 rear diff capacity wrong?

Filled the trans and rear diff with Redline today (MT90 in trans), and got a face full of Redline. Everywhere I looked, the capacity is 1.8qts. I drained it for 4 days just because its on stands for the major services, and I'm not positive about how much went in, but it was a bit less than a quart. I'm thinking the world believes it is 1.8 quarts but it is actually .8 quarts. I was so surprised and doubted myself that I literally twice tried to put more in, then let it sit for a while and used my finger to feel the level. Full. I have probably filled 30 diffs over the years so I'm confident it is indeed full unless there is something bizarre I don't know about on this vehicle. Eyeballing the rear diff to estimate its interior volume below the fill plug I would say a quart, so it is consistent with the outward appearance.

So, could someone confirm that I'm not the first to have this issue and that the capacity is less than a quart?

rear diff fill = 0.8qt

Yes, you're right, about 0.8qt. Bentley manual says 0.75L or 0.79qt for Audi 90 Quattro rear differential gear oil fill.

Thanks - glad to see I am not short of rear diff oil. Bummed I cracked open a $15 bottle of Redline I won't need. Nice bus you have there - I just sold my 87 Syncro Vanagon in 2012.
