Cruise control fix - plastic collar on actuator rod?

Cruise control fix - plastic collar on actuator rod?
Anyone have a fix for the little plastic collar that traps the end of the actuator rod on the vacuum actuator? It's fit into the metal bracket on the end of the threaded rod and the actuator pulls on it. mine is cracking and I don't know if it's available or a common Audi Forum known part that breaks and someone's developed a field fix. Thanks!

Man, that must have been better than coffee! I had the pleasure as well once. My first car - 1968 Thunderbird. 429 4-bbl, 390hp, 428 lbs-ft torque. Looking for our lost dog around the neighborhood. Stopped quickly thinking I had seen her, put it in reverse and gave it some gas. Suddenly the engine went wide open and the gas pedal dropped to the mat under my foot. Within a couple seconds I had the key off but the cloud of tire smoke was the size of a couple houses. Turned out the motor mount had failed, the engine tilted up, which yanked the throttle to its stop, yanking the engine further up and it was off to the races. E ticket ride for about 30 feet.
