Default Please read. I need help

Ok so I've posted on here before and I don't usually get a lot of help. This will be a little long but please hang iin there, I could really use some help. I'm not very knowledgable about these things yet. This is my second Audi 90 however. Both were '95 Sports. I wrecked the first one and bought this one which at the time seemed like a good idea. I test drove it and everything seemed to work fine, other than the heater core, which is common in these. The first day I got it ran fine just a very slight squel in the engine, I assumed a belt or something? It drove strait down the road no unnatural suspension noise, absolutely everything worked as it should other than the heater core.. Then day 2 came around. I went to a doctors appointment, I looked the doors and instead of the usual small horn noise when you lock the doors, it was very loud and long like someone was laying on the horn. I came back out unlocked it and the same noise. The alarm and power locks didn't work anymore after that. Later that day I went to the local animal rescue clinic. When I came out I noticed the dome light was still on. I got in started it up and it still didn't go off like they usually in these cars when you start it. So now the dome light doesn't work unless I turn it on and off manually. The speedometer does not work. I bout a new one and put it in, however it had the yellow plug not the black which my old one had. Obviously it didn't work so I tried to remove and broke the blue connector off so I just removed the speedometer from the circuit board and put it on my old circuit board. Still doesn't work. The power windows in the back have just recently stopped working unless you use the switches on the driver side door, however I accidentally reversed the order of the switches on the on the driver door and I've been too lazy to fix it. The ABS light is on, I know the front brakes are bad but I'm not sure if that would cause the light to be on. The seatbelt light come on intermittently. Even though I wear my seatbelt. The front end now makes a funny noise I believe it's coming from he struts or something. When I take off quickly the car jerks to the right and it does the same thing when I'm braking. The engine is loud as hell now. In the morning it sounds like a tractor, or a diesel truck. When I first start it up the car barley wants to drive, it has no power. Most of the time if I wanna go more than 30 miles an hour I have to have the pedal on the floor or it has to be in sport mode, but the sport mode works intermittently. It leaks a little transmission fluid but my old one did also. When I got it the antifreeze reservoir was filthy as hell. Looked like it had oil in. I took it off anid cleaned, ever since then it leaks antifreeze pretty bad but not from the reservoir. It coming from one of the lines or something under the bumper on the other side of the car. The reservoir seems to be getting dirt again. Not sure why but I'm sure it's nothing simple.i was recently in an automatic car wash and I didn't realize it the fuse box wasnt completely covered. I turned on the wipers and they would not go off after that so I smacked the switch real hard and now it takes some work to get the wipers to come on. I attempted to replace the heater core once and ended up screwing up the headlight switch. Now the taillights donet work. I ordered another switch guaranteed to fit, but it didn't the connections were wrong so I sent it back and I've not been able to find one that works. The car no longer drives strait down the road it pulls to the rights.. Sometimes. I did eventually replace the heater core successfully, however since replacing it the auto climate control doesn't work and it takes about 30 mins to warm up and it only wants work if the antifreeze is completely full. I know the vent work isn't 100% perfect. I put in a new stereo but I'm pretty sure the factory Bose amp and rear speakers aren't working. I think that's it. Is it worth fixing? It's not a Quattro but a sport. The body is great other than one of the headlight sprayer being broken. Sorry it's so long but I really need some help with this, thanks.

This is exactly what you get when you buy an $800 Audi.
If this stuff worked, the seller would have been able to get 3-4X more for it.

You got a lot of help here back in January.
Did you replace the ignition switch and trunk wiring like you were advised to then?

If you successfully replaced the heater core yourself, then it shows you know your way around a car, that's not a job for the faint of heart.
If you paid someone else to do it, then it shows you are smart enough to avoid that horrible job.

In any case, most, if not all, of this stuff can be found by searching the archives:

http://www.12v.org/engine/index.php?section=cl&view=oil
http://www.motorgeek.com/index.php
http://www.s2-audi.co.uk/technical.htm

And there's many more sites beyond these; Use the Search, Luke.

There's no way I'm going to try to process that novel you wrote.
Keep your questions simple and to the point and you might get more help.
And remember, must of us are not professional mechanics and the advice you get here may be only worth what you paid for it.

So, replace the ignition switch, fix the trunk wiring, then prioritize your problems, from most critical to least, and start researching and fixing them one-by-one.

For the safety related ones, such as the antilock, pay someone to fix them if necessary. Right now, 80% of the cars in front of you, whose anti-lock systems are working, can stop faster than you can and if you get into a chair-reaction braking situation, you are going to end up paying for their wrecked rear bumpers and junking your wrecked Audi.

Well everything worked when I got it. The person was asking $1000 because of the bad heater core and some slight front end damage. I took the parts it needed off my old Audi that wrecked before the insurance company took it from me. I haven't replaced the ignition switch yet because I believe it's already been replaced once before. I haven't replaced the trunk harness because.. I really can't remember why someone told me too.. My taillights don't work but that's just because part of the headlight switch is broken. My front brakes are worn and squeal but I'm not sure if that why the abs is on. Other than that my brakes seem to work as they should. And as for the heater core replacement my fiancés father and I tackled that and it took us 2 days for a moderate successes there lots of things we should've done different but we went at it blindly and I have heat so I'm not complaining. Thanks for your input.

Oh and just for the record, I paid $200 for my first Audi 90 and everything worked on it expect the wiper relay and the windows only rolled down if you used the driver side switch panel and the car had brand new tires and a brand new heater core in it.

Thanks for your input: A corporate phrase that could either mean "thanks for your input", or, more cheerfully, "f*ck you!"</font>

Sometimes I wonder why I bother....

Have fun!

When I said thanks for your input, I really meant meant thanks for your input. I appreciate your information. I did just today check out the harness its in awful condition. I read in another post on here that a dealership wants $250 for a new harness but I don't know if it would be the same at my local dealership. I don't think that's too bad for new but does anyone know of any third parties that make them or how hard it is to just fix the one I have.

all you need is to cut the harness open in the hinge area (the plastic shielding itself) and splice in new wires and then put heatshrink over the whole thing
