93' 90 auto fwd to manual fwd swap questions

I bought a 93' 90cs with 130,000 mile for $250 for a beater at first. Then I decided to make it a project car but want to do a manual swap but keep fwd any suggestions on what will bolt up to it besides a Quattro manual they don't have the same mounting brackets. Thanks

What tranny did you use I've been told a Mk ll will work or an Audi 100 manual tranny but I wanna do some research before I drop the money for it

Just thought I'd upload a pic of my first. It was just back in October of 2012. Don't judge a book by its cover. It sat for 3 years and after about 1000 miles it was running like a champ and everything seemed to work as it should for the most part. I miss it. I totaled it and bought another one. But I would trade my new one for this ugly old thing any day.

You want an 012 transmission
They were in all fwd Audi 90s and the first A6/a4's.

They were also in Passats until 2000 or 2001 but I can't guarantee that the trans would fit your mounts.

I believe that the housing has a bunch of different sets of brackets that make the standard 012 fit into on top of the different subframes that the 90's, A6, A4 and Passats had but I can't prove it.

I bought my transmission from Car-Part.com - feel free to lowball the junkyard as these things aren't exactly flying off the shelf. I got a 53,000 mile transmission that appears to have been on a shelf for 10 years.
