Audi 90 possible overheating problem?
I have an Audi 90 2.3 1989. quattro, 136 hp. I've bought car week ago, and since first day I bought it, there is one thing that bothers me, and I cannot find possible solutions on internet.
So, here it is.
This is my temperature, while driving on open highway at cca 90 km/h ( 55 mph ).

And this is my temperature, while driving in the city:

What could be the problem, if there is one?
Audi has LPG installed on, if that is something of importance.
Oh, and please disregard that disgusting white color, previous owner had unusual taste ( or I would rather say, no taste at all ).
Thank you in advance for your help.
press the AC button and confirm your rad fans turn on. If they do, I think you are fine.
Coolant flush never hurts.
important fact...the needle DOES NOT go past the line tith the dot on either side....If you get up there,,,shut her down and open hood....you could be WAY hotter.
as for the fan switch in the rad...if it is broken...the fen is on 24/7....you would not overheat.
Have you ever heard your 2nd speed fan in your B4's because I have not until I put a relay in the 2nd speed fan slot.
It's on the fusebox cover, it's in Bentley and it shows in Etka.
If you are running AC and it's very hot outside the 2nd speed will kick on especially if you are at idle in traffic.

2nd. I have never had the 2nd relay, never heard the 2nd speed, and owned 3 B4s....oh, and i have NEVER NEEDED a high speed on my fan.. normal speed does the job just fine...prob why there is no high speed fan relay installed. Maybe African models had it installed due to local heat.

If it's over 85F out and you are in traffic with AC on and your engine is over the heavy normal mark the 2nd speed fan will kick on to get it back to normal.
This can only happen if you have the relay which costs $10.
For that price I think I'd rather keep my engine cool as possible, why stress it for no reason?
The Only spot that should be empty is #3 which was omitted on the B4.
My view is you are better having it and not needing it then needing it and not having it.
It might not help you but it won't hurt either.
I lived a hour south of Kingston, it was plenty hot in the summer to need 2nd speed.
