Time flies...
Three insurance companies later and the only thing I am being reimbursed for is the engine and one set of wheels/tires. Awesome. So, I managed to find another PT code engine with fewer miles (80-something vs 90-something) and a complete engine harness. I did have to source the headers, x-pipe, dip stick and starter. So far I am only waiting on the dip stick to show up so I don't have to spend $75 at a dealership. I've replaced two sets of wheels and tires for the car, picked up a new to me factory B4 hood and all the front sheet metal that supports the radiator and hood locks. I've also sourced a (hopefully) complete manual climate control from the same B4 that donated the sheet metal. If it isn't complete I may talk to a couple of the Audi guys near the yard to see if they can snag the stuff for me and ship it over.
I still have a long way to go to get the engine in the car, but I am closer now than I was just a few months ago. Almost all the parts have been sourced, a few key items are still out standing. I do have to switch back to the G60 brakes as the thief stole one of my 993C2 calipers and rotors.
I will probably move the car once more to a larger work space that is only a mile away and is brand new (family property). This way, I can get my daily driver (A4tq) back in the garage...
You can't flip old Audi stuff like you can late model Honda, Toyota, etc.
Sad to hear the ATS's were stolen, damn those are hard to find now.
I love my set and although I am not positive what style they are I'd love to get one more as a spare just in case.
