Default Time flies...

I haven't been on here in months, and fairly rarely prior to that. I do still recognize some names on here. But, I still have my CQ and it is finally at a location conducive to being worked on, namely at my house. The whole reason it is finally here, however, is pretty crappy. The building I had it stored in, along with the PT code engine, spare wheels/tires, parts, etc was broken in to and I had over $6k worth of car stuff stolen including both sets of my ATS Type 10 wheels, the PT code engine and engine stand, engine hoist, A4 wheels with DOT r-compound tires for auto-crossing, two full sets of Corvette wheels (one with brand new tires) and some other things.

Three insurance companies later and the only thing I am being reimbursed for is the engine and one set of wheels/tires. Awesome. So, I managed to find another PT code engine with fewer miles (80-something vs 90-something) and a complete engine harness. I did have to source the headers, x-pipe, dip stick and starter. So far I am only waiting on the dip stick to show up so I don't have to spend $75 at a dealership. I've replaced two sets of wheels and tires for the car, picked up a new to me factory B4 hood and all the front sheet metal that supports the radiator and hood locks. I've also sourced a (hopefully) complete manual climate control from the same B4 that donated the sheet metal. If it isn't complete I may talk to a couple of the Audi guys near the yard to see if they can snag the stuff for me and ship it over.

I still have a long way to go to get the engine in the car, but I am closer now than I was just a few months ago. Almost all the parts have been sourced, a few key items are still out standing. I do have to switch back to the G60 brakes as the thief stole one of my 993C2 calipers and rotors.

I will probably move the car once more to a larger work space that is only a mile away and is brand new (family property). This way, I can get my daily driver (A4tq) back in the garage...

Default good to see ya

not many of us still come here.

We are mostly still around...just flocked to another site when IB bought AW and ditched QWAF.

Sorry to hear that. Somebody must have been keen on Audi parts to grab this stuff because otherwise the market for these items is limited to just enthusiasts.
You can't flip old Audi stuff like you can late model Honda, Toyota, etc.

Sad to hear the ATS's were stolen, damn those are hard to find now.
I love my set and although I am not positive what style they are I'd love to get one more as a spare just in case.

Pretty sure the guy was after everything for scrap or pawning, they got the guy on a 5th degree felony for receipt of stolen property but haven't recovered any of my stuff...He probably thought the 4-bolt pattern would fit a Honda, that is what he has...
