New to Audi
I have had a few only VWs and I currently own a newer VW, is there anything I should look for or expect outta my new-to-me Audi?
What about fuel issues, are there any notorious issues in the fuel system? I have a gas smell in the cab of the vehicle but its not from the gas tank since the tank has no leaks and the trunk doesnt smell

After a cold start and warm up, you should be able to disconnect the electrical connection to the ISV and the car should still idle.
Instructions are on 20v.org how to set idle speed...
My only question is what do these look like I have no idea what I'm looking for, also when I check for parts at local stores the pictures I have seen in the threads don't match what they have so it's confusing..
I use my car for work with disabled people and would really like yo get this fixed before I get in to trouble. Thank you guys

If it does this while it's connected then it's either really dirty or more then likely the diaphragm inside broke.
ISV = stabilize idle through vacuum.

It's having trouble coming to a stop when coming to a idle at a light.
It idles down the stumbles, sometimes dies.
My real question is ive searchrd the forums for isv cleaning isv location and just isv but this and another thread pop up.
Some say it's on the back of the intake manifold, mines not there

When the ISV broke on my 94 in the middle of winter [-40F] not only did the idle go nuts but it did not have power. Good chance it would have stalled too if I tried.
As other posters noted check vacuum lines as well, a cracked line at an elbow can really screw with it running well.
