Oil burning issue. It's a bit different though..
05 S4 Avant 6pd. Going through a quart every 250 miles if driven hard or higher RPM on the interstate. If the car has come up to temp and the ambient temp is above 80, if the car is turned off and sits for 30 min, it will smoke when started back up.
Car fouls cyl 6 plug every summer, maybe two if I use it a lot. Always fouls on a down hill section when resting at a stop light or stop sign. Always. Always smokes more when taking off from a down hill resting spot like a stop light. Smokes less or none when on flat land.
Also smokes when accelerating around a very hard left hand turn.
Valve seals? Scored cyl walls? Either of those two, though I don't know how it would smoke more, and dump more oil in the cyl going downhill or around tight turns.
Thoughts anyone? I know PCV systems have been known to cause oil consumption, would it cause back pressure into the case and cause any of these related issues?
I do still need to boroscope cyl 6 and see if the walls are scored.
