the video gives you a step by step tutorial how to replace the timing belt at the Audi 100 / A6 (C4) having the V6 engine with 2.6l or 2.8l. This repair requests special tools, but you may find them in the web.
The video has a German soundtrack, but English subtitles are available. If you don't see them by default, watch the video directly at YouTube and press the subtitle button below the frame.
Enjoy it,

last time I have done this, I replaced my good old water pump by a new one. The new one died after 30000 km only and I had to do all again on a road in the mountains. Since that expierence I replace only broken parts.
Regards,
Jürgen
Would an experienced owner detect a leaking water pump before catastrophic failure were allowed to occur? The water pump bearing is the seal, so we know that if it starts to leak, the bearing is worn and the pump is shot. If it doesn't leak we can assume the pump is OK.
But I know I wouldn't like to tear down the engine twice per timing belt interval only to squeeze a few thousand km's out of the old pump.
