removing catalytic converter on 2.6

Hi lads. i need some help. im going to remove the catalytic converter on my 95 a6 c4 2.6 quattro. but i have never been looking under at thoose before. are there one or two of thoose and how hard are they to get off? removing them for replacing due to rattling. best regards Aleks.

On my car there is only one cat. I replaced the exhaust pipe from the manifolds to the cat and I had to lie under the car with an angle grinder 1 inch from my face cutting seized bolts.
