Bolt Pattern Measurements for Audi TT MK3
Planning on buying a set of winter RIMS and Tires.
While I wait for 2 months for my car to showup this is something fun to do in my spare time
I have just started looking into whether or not they will fit the MK3 TT / TTS properly.
Here is what I have learned, the following are the reported offsets for the MK3 TT:
OEM TT(S) MK3
8x17 ET47
8.5x17 ET50
8.5x18 ET50
9x19 ET52
9x20 ET52
Now the A5's 18 inch wheels were ET 29, don't know what your winters are, mine are ET 25.
So if one were to put the noted A5 wheels on a MK3 TT, they would extend an extra 21mm, which does not sound good for winter use.
I am no wheel expert, but I go through this process every time I buy a new car just to make sure I understand what I am buying.
Let me know what you think.

My 8.5x18 Rial DH's are a 34mm positive offset (16mm from your cited stock), so somewhat in the middle (higher positive offset number being more "tucked in" to the wheel wells, which is pretty typical for OEM). As I already have them of course an on-car test will be the ultimate evaluation.
