dead spots in acceleration
looking for help with my 92 100 2.8...
during any type of acceleration, i momentarily lose all power around the 2200 and 3400 rpm areas. if i keep my foot down, it works itself out after a second or two and i can continue accelerating. it doesnt really stutter, just falls flat for a short time. always in the same spots. ive already done spark plugs, fuel filter, and cleaned the maf and air filter.

I had a similar issue with my 1992 100. It turned out to be my O2 sensors were dead. Might check your throttle position sensor too. I got my O2 sensors off eBay. All the parts stores wanted an arm and leg. Got mine off eBay for 1/4 the cost for oe bosch ones.

ok, thank you! i had heard about o2 sensors being common on these so i drove without them plugged in and nothing changed. maybe ill replace them anyway. couldnt hurt. and ill check the throttle body whenever i have time to do my valley pan gasket.
