A7 main wire harness

A7 main wire harness
have a 2012 A7 which I have greatly enjoyed
warranty up in a few months
had a tail light issue, nonfunctioning
after 10 days in audi dealer shop the verdict was unusual fraying in main wire harness
audi corporate was involved
they replaced several frayed wires , to tail lights and several other things
all functioning normally currently
only other issue have ever had with car has been some random electrical things like car not recognizing it is in park and failing to lock, MMI misfunctions
my question is whether it would be a bad idea to keep the car past warranty expiration
the dealership claims they would cover any "related issues" beyond expiration of warranty
i am nervous as the dealership seemed alarmed by what they found
worried that even if i purchase an extended warranty this could be the start of major issues
