Passenger Airbag Issue

I have a 2012 A7, and occasionally when I have a passenger, the Airbag Off warning will go off, then after a minute or so, will say it's on again. I haven't talked to the dealership about it yet, just wondering if anyone else has had the issue. This is with different weight passengers, we've tried moving the seat back and forth - up and down - no difference.

Do you have access to a Vag-Com to run a scan for faults? It could be a seat sensor or one of several other causes. In any case, you should get it checked out since it could be a safety issue. You don't want any doubts the air bag would deploy if and when needed.

Check under the seat and make sure the connections are still firmly connected together. The airbag connector is yellow. Either you have a bad connection or the seat occupation mat is faulty. As mentioned get it scanned and post it up

Same thing happened with my 2013; depending on how my wife sat on the seat (she's all of 120 lbs) the alarm would sound and the airbag light came on. Take it back to the dealer for adjustment. Other than an engine transplant at 1250 miles (flood here in SoFlo 2 i/2 years ago) and the recent MMI 3G upgrade, it's the only significant problem I've had.
