Polished wheels paint color
I bought a 2001 Quattro Roadster with the polished wheels about 3 months ago. The previous owner had taken off the OEM wheels and put on aftermarket. When I bought the car, I had him put the OEM wheels back on. They looked pretty rough, but with just a little polishing, they look pretty good now. This winter I plan to remove them from the car and do my best to clean up the curb rash on the wheel lips and also get them back to their original look.
In the "holes" of the wheel, I can see a few remnants of paint. The vast majority of the area is rough aluminum casting. The paint looks to be a light grey color. Can anyone tell me what this area of the wheel is supposed to look like and if possible, take a picture?
