Default What parts do I need?

Hi id like to upgrade my 2001 tt quattro 180 hp to a 225 hp. What parts from the 225 do I need? Is the head the exact same?

Replace engine (bore & stroke is different) and Engine ECU and wiring. Turbocharger is different. Exhaust is different along with Electronic emission controls. 2nd intercooler required and related airbox and piping is different.

Cylinder head is different.

Clutch is different. Brakes too.

Better off replacing the car.

bore and stroke is the same. the catch is the connecting rods have a different sized wrist pin than the 225, so you will have to upgrade the rods sooner. although the turbo and many other components are different as well. if you have a 180hp TT, your best thing is to simply get an ECU tune to bring up the power. you can stick with everything or mostly everything on the vehicle staying stock this way. chassis wise, the cars are the exact same. so if you are looking for the larger turbo engine, buy a vehicle with that engine. it will save you a lot of money.
