New TT Purchase
After reading up on these forums for quite some time I decide to take the plunge. I purchased a 2003 TT MK1 180 coupe. Silver on gray leather and I love it! However, when I bought it, it had its fair share of problems and is a bit of a project. I documented the journey so far in fixing the TT on my YouTube channel that I started. If you're interested in following along the link is below:

Anyway, I did have a question. The previous owner had extensive damage to the passenger door and tried to have it fixed which made the dents worse. I just purchased a passenger door shell and was wondering how involved (and if anyone has a write up) on how to swap the door contents to a new door? Thanks guys and I look forward to contributing (hopefully) a lot of good content.
Repairs/maintenance I have completed already:
New MAF
New N249
New cone filter & breather
Oil change
Transmission fluid & filter change
New transmission Pan
New coolant temp sensor
New crankshaft position sensor
New cabin filter
New diverter valve
1. With a body hammer and hand dolly. Flattened that stuff.
2. Flat sand it start with 100 Grit
3. Lightweight filler
4. 2 part prime and sand
5. Blend in base coat
6. Clear the door complete.
That fix would take (me) 1/2 day to do the bodywork, next day paint.
I worked in a shop for a few years so I have the skills. Anyone you know could help you out?
For a perfect fix a new door skin (or door shell as you have done) but...lot more work imo! Is the shell the same color?
