Gonna plunge on a mk1 project car. 225 prob. anyone wrap?
Well going back and fourth on fun project car. Looking for under $5k and almost did another lt1 or ls1 camaro but still ugh...
I want a mk2 tts but they are $15k+ still.
I have several 225 in my area for $2500-$3500 125k+ miles
one looks cleaner, more miles, white other one is black some body kit and cheaper. both are '02 The white one looks stock. black one has AM headlights and tails and lower front valence which concerns me. looks cheap work. might be ok if I just wrap.
then there is a cl;ean nice 180hp silver 5spd 2001
I will mod and I want to be in 13s for sure love to dip into low 13 or 12s for fun.
I have seen several wrapped TT and they look awesome. I am thinking satin black or dark gray and just an aftermarket valence for duals in the rear and rims.
mods chip exhaust dp sway bars DV intake all I am thinking.
anyone have dark wrapped car? similar mods? I am thinking of wrapping my self I heard it is easy just takes time.

I have no experience wrapping, but I do love my high mileage Mk1 (2002). I sill say that it seemed quite clean when I bought it, but there were hidden problems.
1) AC was on the verge of frying itself, which it did while I was stuck in traffic
2) Turbo had a broken impeller (which I was told was common on vehicles with 125K++ miles)
3) Seals and hoses needed to be replaced
Now that all the work is done I'm very happy with the car... except for the Bose radio.

Thanks, it is a project car, all those things are easy and fun to do for me. These 2 cars appear to be drivable. Get them clean, maybe wrapped, replace carpet/setas as needed get stereo going and get tune up.
if turbo is worn I would enjoy a stage 2+ kit to rebuild/replace the ko4/tune/cai/dv
