Recommendations for silicone aftermarket hoses
Ok, my Ainsley air duct to the intake is junk along with the breather hose and many vacuum lines. I have seen many aftermarket engine bays with silicone hoses. BUT, I don't want to buy junk so I need to know where to get the best quality replacements and what I can and can't delete. Thanks in advance.

Can't go wrong with Samco although they're expensive.. There are a LOT of Silicone hose manufactures out there now. Look for "ply" count (higher the better).. As for the small vacuum hoses that fail, I bought a "kit" of several sizes of silicone hose and it really came in handy over the years as EVERY hose and fitting under the 225 engine cover became brittle and cracked. I had my 2001 225 Quattro for over 15 years. I installed Samco Intake and Intercooler hoses and never had a single problem.
