Source for Avant rear hatch actuator 4A9-862-153-A

So like many Avant owners..my rear hatch started whistling when the door locks operated. That boot was cracked on the vacuum actuator.

I saw some repair suggestions using condoms, other rubber items or glue.

I hate taking that rear panel off and on..so I wanted a more permanent repair.

Surfing around..the actuator sells for $90 to $100 here in the USA.

Found an Audi dealer BKS-Tuning GmbH in Berlin, Germany that sells the OEM part new for $60 including shipping to the USA..and placed the order.

Took three weeks to get here..not too bad considering the holidays.

Part arrived and it was indeed an Audi OEM part and works just fine.

The website is clunky..but go the button "parts search" and enter the part number you need without spaces. Add to the cart and then view cart..you can see the shipping option..in my order they only charged $7.80 for shipping.

BKS is much cheaper on some Audi parts..not all though. Worth checking to compare. They also have parts that are NLA here in the USA.
