Adding Cruise control

Hi I own a Audi TT 2000 and I would like to add cruise control so my question is can I go to the local scrap yard and just pick up any cruise control from any Audi and program it or does it have to be specific for the tt. Its of course The stalk im Talking abort.

As far as I know it was a option. But anyways my car doesn't have it.

According the Audiworld Model Guide which has the has the official documentation from Audi of America, all USA TTs came with cruise as standard equipment.

live in Sweden and most of the TTs here dont have it from the factory
