New to tt mk1 roadster

Hi I have a question about my Audi TT mk1 roadster and wondering although it's a soft top should it have a parcel shelf. When the top is up I've noticed a gap behind the seats and wondered if there is meant to be something there.

Congratulations on your car. Unless you can verify that the timing belt and associated equipment (water pump, tensioner, etc) has been replaced within the past 5 years or 60K miles, replace them immediately! A timing belt failure will total your car.
