4B0927156G Transmission Control Module
Hello, I normally focus on the Audi A6 C5 cars and A8 D2 cars, all with the 4.2 V8.
The transmission control computers on those are a high-value item, and I've been told by a local transmission shop that $400 is a good deal for a good unit. By my standards, that is a lot of money. So, I did some analysis work to see what other similar parts might be compatible in case I can't find the exact part that one of my cars needs. So far I haven't had much success but in the course of my travels I ended with a TCM with part number 4B0927156G that, I gather, fits a C4 Audi A6, specifically the 1996 model. This is all second-hand information from sort-of-iffy sources and I'm here to ask whether A6 C4 owners here would like to chime in.
Once I know what this fits, I'd like to sell it. There aren't many around. Based on what I've seen so far, I'm hoping that $250 is a good price. Is it?
I can't guarantee it's good but if you get it and install it and it's not good, I'd refund your money plus shipping. Does that sound reasonable?
