Default Two very Basic Questions re: RS3

OK so I could use a little help (once again) in understanding what IS or ISN'T coming on the 2018 RS3. Thanks.
A) Will a SPARE Tire be included or not?, and
B) I saw where wireless charging was mentioned for your phone. True or False?

Spare tire for sure not, as the huge battery takes up all the space.

I haven't read my manual yet, so I will check and let you know on the inductive charging, but from looking in the center console, I don't think it has it.

So, are you (or other RS3 owners) going to just live with no spare tire or will you add some sort of Tire-fix compressor kit. I've never not had a spare, either full size or at the very least a "donut" spare.

An example being something like this (from Consumer Report):

Continental ContiComfortKit ($79):
=========================
Though the costliest kit we tested, the Continental was the slickest.

Performance: The compressor did its job relatively quickly.

Notable features: Built-in air gauge, reflector, and small light. The ContiComfortKit came with enough sealant to repair a wide range of tires, as spelled-out in an included size chart. Thorough instructions.

Sorry for the ignorance but what's the difference with the RS3's battery versus the S3? I hadn't heard about a larger battery. I know in my S3 there's a donut spare in the trunk so was just curious.

That the S3 battery sits in the engine bay. No space for the battery with the larger 2.5T engine on front, so it was moved to the trunk area, leaving no space for the spare tire.

Ahh okay, got it. Thanks for the clarification! Well that certainly sucks not having a spare in the RS3. Would not want to be stranded somewhere after a blowout.

The RS3 has an OEM one that comes standard, in place of the spare.

Not sure if there's any difference in the battery itself, just the location. No room for it under the hood when making way for the 5 cylinder engine, so it got moved to the trunk in the hole where the spare sits in the S3. I'll take a picture of it tonight to show you.

Thanks. Yeah Audiforme brought that to my attention. I somehow wasn't aware that the battery was moved to the back, my bad. I'm sure some wouldn't mind seeing a photo of it nonetheless.

Yes, it is mounted dead center in the bottom of the trunk. Don't know why they couldn't have put it off to one side like many other cars that have trunk-mounted batteries. It does help the weight distribution. I'm just glad they gave us a flat repair kit instead of run-flat tires!

+1 AMEN to that brother! Hopefully the repair kit is up to the job as some are not. Time will tell I guess. Thanks everyone.
