Default How many km's on your new RS3?

I picked up my new RS3 from Pfaff in Vaughan at the end of July and it had 60 km on it!! I do not see any reason to have so many km on a new car. Pfaff staff must have been enjoying my ride before me. How many km's were on your car when you picked it up?

I've read a bunch of posts on the delivery threads here and on the other Audi forums. ALL of the RS3s have similar mileage to yours at delivery. Pfaff had nothing to do with those kms! Relax and enjoy.

That's normal. All RS vehicles undergo additional testing at the factory. The cars are given a test drive on a track to make sure everything holds up and for final adjustments from what I understand. My 2013 RS5 had similar mileage and I picked it up straight from the factory.

Default Thanks everyone for your input!

Makes me feel much better to know the mileage on the car was normal. Now I have to figure out why the G-meter showed a history of 1.0 G of acceleration when I picked it up.

For the same reason when the car was tested before releasing from factory?

Exactly, based on the information provided above, I would assume that the techs in the factory were making sure launch control worked properly (what an awful job to have ;-) and that everything else worked as advertised / it should. One of the videos with the Audi's product manager in it (Anthony I think), his G-meter on the test RS3 showed 1G as well for acceleration and braking if I remember correctly.

same 1.0G acceleration here, and the PDI form shows a check mark beside the 'check acceleration' task. I suspect they went over 4,000 rpm

Thanks for the input. I did not know before this thread that Audi did their own tests on the vehicle. Based on that knowledge it makes sense that the car has more km then one would expect, and that the G-meter shows high historical values.

Good point about exceeding 4,000 RPM. The owner's manual is very clear about the break-in period and the consequences on the engine of not following the break-in. Then again, if it is the engineers testing the vehicle at the factory, you have to believe they know what they are doing.
