Default RS3 Exhaust Valve Mod

On my last gen TTRS you could disable the exhaust valve flapper in the open position by crimping the rubber host leading to the actuator on the left exhaust with a ziptie.

Anyone know how to do the same on the 2017/18 RS3?

Thanks, is there also a mechanical way to disable them?

I tried VCDS tonight and it says there is no long coding for it.

I believe that on the new RS3 and TTRS they are electrically actuated, not by vacuum. Once I get mine in about a month or so, I'll look at finding the signal on the actuator and see if the is a way of installing a manual switch in the cabin to just send the signal to the actuator so it can be controlled manually like on the new TTRS.

I read somewhere just by unplugging the two connectors were doing the trick but haven't tried it, maybe somebody can confirm

Yes, unplugging works fine. But a switch would be ideal, I like being a little more discrete sometimes leaving the house at 5am. The oem ttrs button would be great in the stop/start switch location .

And yes that wireless AWE unit might be ok, but it still results in our current issue ..i.e.
The default valve position is “closed”. Upon turning the ignition off, the valve will eventually return to the “closed” position.
