Default Slightly OT: Solar eclipse and Daytona Gray

I don't recall ever having quite the same experience as this. I didn't buy special glasses or make my own pinhole mechanism to watch the eclipse taking place; however, it was a surreal moment and I couldn't help but notice how beautiful my Daytona S3 looked in this very unusual ambient lighting outside. I wish that my camera was good enough to capture the nuance of the odd radiance of the sun but it looked sweet. I was somewhat hoping to be able to capture some trick looking image off the reflection on the paint but it was not possible. Oh well

On a side note, it was also a trip to see the street lights turn on as well as the auxiliary lights on the outside of my building turn on as well, even though it remained fairly bright outside.

I did take a snap but it doesn't reflect (no pun intended) what I was hoping for. A lot of you may have been outside when the eclipse occurred in your respective areas, but it was a strange phenomenon. Unfortunately it wasn't like a blackout type of scenario which would be incredible if so lucky. Being the middle of the day and having brightness but at the same time a unique filtering type of effect was surreal.

Anyway, regardless of the affect the eclipse had, we Daytona owners understand the beauty, lol.

Wish I could have witnessed it in person; I'm sure it was awesome.

Yeah admittedly I was somewhat disappointed it wasn't more of a BLACKOUT! Nonetheless, it was indeed surreal as I noted earlier. Daytona Gray FTW!

I wish I could have gone back into Huntsville to see the Ara Blue today during the eclipse but they sold it last Friday to the gentleman who saw my wife and I looking at it .... quite a bit I might add. I found that out on Saturday afternoon when I went back to see it after the ham radio convention (hamfest) held here every year in mid-August. It was close to a blackout here but not quite. Watched it go completely dark in Charleston, SC via TV though. It was awesome!

Very cool Timmay! Your car color is awesome. One of my favorites for sure. After the solar eclipse, you need to compare it against a lunar eclipse. Usually the government issues funds for that kind of research. Wouldn't hurt to ask!!
