DOWN PIPE IS STAGE 2 REQUIRED?

IS STAGE 2 REQUIRED for downpipe install?

I currently have uni stage1 and wanted to get downpipe installed without getting stage 2 (maybe later)
Can i still install DP with stage 1?

snuggles; to my knowledge, you certainly do NOT need Stage 2 after installing a downpipe. But why install a downpipe if not going to stage 2? You'll get more exhaust flow but, my thinking, it may confuse your Stage I tune. Sound definitely changes as well. I went Stage 2 when I installed my downpipe. All the work done by an APR authorized rep. Am extremely happy with the outcome.

Again, certainly don't have to go stage 2 but think you may not see the benefit of a new downpipe with bumping up 1 stage. With APR, when you buy the downpipe, they literally include the Stage 2 tune as part of the price. No clue on Uni products however.
