CarPlay Apps not working

Has anyone had any luck getting MLB At Bat app working or the NBA app working on CarPlay in 2017 S3? Also does audible app work? I can't seem to get any apps to work wi CarPlay...now I am using only the free versions so wonder if that could be the reaosn...all I get is an error saying can't connect try again,,,

MLB does work for me - but I do indeed pay for it, I think that that's mandatory.
