Anybody elses RS3 do this?
Get in, start it up, and "Do Not Exceed 5500 RPM" yellow light comes on. Car gets warm and light turns off. Nothing in the manual says this is normal behaivor, just says that the light can come on if the car gets too hot.
Audi dealer thinks its normal. Says the R8 does it, the TTRS they have does it and the other RS3 they had did it. But they dont know for sure.
They think the car is just telling you not to exceed a certain rpm till its up to operating temp.
I think its weird because it only does it every once in awhile.

Mine does/says this every time it is started cold. Goes away after a short time. As I understand it will actually prevent you from exceeding that RPM, it's not just a warning...but I haven't tested this.

I did read, that the car has an auto circulation oil pump for the turbo. So when you turn the car off it circulates oil through the turbo for awhile. But it still said after driving it hard to let it cool down a bit before just shutting it off. That was in the Tech Manual for the old one but I imagine if the old version had that then The new one does as well.
This isn't new, BTW - our 2014 S7 does the same thing on the turbo V8. When started cold, the redline is around 5000, and only goes back up to 6500 rpm after the engine has warmed up adequately.
